Initial Chiropractic Consultation
At your initial chiropractic consultation, I will take the time to understand your concerns, discussing your pain and medical history in detail. A thorough examination will then be carried out to find the source of your problem. For your comfort, a gown is provided if any areas require assessment that may involve undressing.
After the consultation and examination, I will explain the findings, outline how chiropractic care can help, and recommend a personalized treatment plan—including the type of treatment and the number of sessions that are needed, best suited to your needs.
All treatment options will be tailored to you, ensuring the approach aligns with your specific condition and health goals.

If appropriate, you will have your first Chiropractic treatment on your initial visit to the clinic following the Initial Chiropractic Consultation.

Many people think seeing a Chiropractor means you will be ‘clicked’, and a type of treatment technique that is associated with a ‘clicking’ noise is known as joint manipulation. However I use a variety of treatment techniques to help relieve your joint pain and restore normal joint function, other than joint manipulation. All the treatment techniques are all just as effective, and if a certain treatment technique is not right for you or you are not comfortable with it, that is perfectly fine. We have many other ways to help you.
Some of the Chiropractic treatment techniques that I am trained in are called the ‘Activator’ technique, the ‘Drop’ technique and joint mobilisation. There are also a variety or techniques that I use to treat the soft tissue, which include massage, trigger point therapy, ‘Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation’, and Kinesio- taping.
I have a particular interest in treating pregnant women, as I have first hand experience of receiving Chiropractic treatment throughout my own pregnancy. Using specially designed pillows and equipment, I can help ensure the pregnant patient lies comfortably and securely during treatment. This offers much needed support for the common aches and pains many pregnant women experience throughout pregnancy.
There is no need for you to see your GP before starting treatment, as Chiropractors are trained to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal problems.
I will regularly reassess your progress to make sure the treatment is working for you. If I believe that you may benefit from any alternative investigation or treatment, I will let you know.
